cct Products Approved for Food Contact

Recovered carbon black (rCB) grades from carbon clean tech (cct) were recently granted a certificate of compliance within European Union regulation 10/2011, which sets the standard for plastics that come in contact with food. This approval covers the entire line of cct’s rCB grades.

These grades have begun to be utilized by cct’s customers, whom operate within the growing segments of food packaging and plastic pipes for water. In line with cct’s mission, this high-growth segment within the polymers industry can now continue to scale while keeping its costs of raw materials low, and improving its sustainability.
